Mr. Maddocks was appointed by Malta’s National Director of Rugby, Mr. Damian Neill as Backs Coach for the national Rugby team, a position he held for several years ; attending international matches, home and away.

Much of the fast handling, free and wide running style for which Malta are renowned was developed under Mr. Maddock’s guidance, which is a compliment to the vision and wisdom of Mr. Neill.

The Malta Rugby Football Union issues its sincere thanks for his contribution and wishes him every success in his new and exciting challenge. England Women are second only to New Zealand in world rugby and are European champions at 15’s rugby so Mr. Maddocks will have to aim high for the top spot in Sevens.
